The Department of Population Health Sciences at the University of Wisconsin Madisons School of Medicine and Public Health in collaboration with the Childhood Lead Poisoning Prevention Unit within the Wisconsin Department of Health Services (DHS) Bureau of Environmental and Occupational Health (BEOH) Lead and Asbestos Section (LAS) seeks to hire a Program Coordinator with strong skills in project management team collaboration and community outreach to coordinate the activities of our Lead-in-Water Testing and Remediation Initiative (Lead-in-WTR Initiative) and assist Local Health Departments with lead risk assessments and clearances.
Under general supervision of the Childhood Lead Poisoning Prevention Unit Supervisor this position will be responsible for coordinating all aspects of the Lead-in-WTR Initiative including outreach to local health departments (LHDs); contracting; training LHDs on the EPA 3Ts process; developing resource materials; coordinating lead remediation with the Department of Children and Families (DCF) child care centers and Early Head Start Programs; data collection and reporting to both EPA and DCF. Additionally this position will provide key technical assistance to Local Health Departments who are conducting lead risk assessments and clearances related to cases of childhood lead poisoning in Wisconsin.

Identifies promotes and maintains internal and external partnerships to promote the outreach program
Schedules and secures logistics and resources in support of an outreach program
Schedules day-to-day activities for program staff and student and community volunteers
Identifies opportunities for program improvement or new outreach program development
Provides technical assistance to Local Health Departments in their childhood lead poisoning case investigations and clearances.
Prepares and submits reports to the U.S. Environmental Protection Agency and the Department of Children and Families.

The starting salary for the position is $60000; but is negotiable based on experience and qualifications.
