ORGANIZATION OVERVIEW: Shared Hope International (SHI) is one of the oldest and most well-established US-based nonprofits dedicated to bringing an end to the crime of human trafficking. We operate both domestically and abroad to bring about much-needed reform and survivor support and protection through our innovative three-tiered action model prevention restoration and justice.



GROWTH STRATEGIES DEPARTMENT OVERVIEW: The Growth Strategies Department is a dynamic team of fundraising professionals working to implement a comprehensive growth plan that will activate all potential fundraising channels.

As we build out our departments focus areas will include events awareness-raising/public speaking grants Trusts/Foundations corporate giving social media campaigns and direct donor engagement. We are seeking industrious entrepreneurial individuals to optimize and expand their positions areas of focus.



POSITION OVERVIEW: Reporting to the Director of Growth Strategies the Growth Strategies Manager will be one of the key members of the Growth Strategies Department. We are seeking a strong project manager a skilled event planner with a demonstrated ability to expand the corporate sponsorship portfolio of non-profit agencies a smart dynamic highly teachable individual with the right attributes to train in this role. Our ideal candidate is tech-savvy outgoing people person who is comfortable presenting in front of audiences of all sizes. The candidate must be a compelling speaker able to communicate in a passionate yet accurate way about the mission of Shared Hope. This is a fundraising position first and foremost so any candidate considered must be willing to solicit monetary contributions both directly and indirectly.



RESPONSIBILITIES:

  • Lead the planning and execution of the Founders and Christmas Breakfast events ensuring they are high-impact experiences that advance the mission and generate significant income.
  • Grow event revenue by cultivating soliciting and stewarding sponsors while also exploring creative secondary fundraising methods such as auctions or paddle raises.
  • Bring strategic vision and creativity to design memorable events that stand out in the community and deepen donor engagement.
  • Ensure event and project planning is conducted with a high level of attention to financial and time constraints; work with various timelines and projects that happen simultaneously successfully.
  • Regularly identify new funding opportunities and develop review summaries to present weekly to the Director of Growth Strategies.
  • Maintain a detailed Growth Strategies events calendar to track deadlines and monitor progress on all Growth Strategies-related activities; provide regular updates to the Growth Strategies team on these efforts.
  • Strategize with the Director of Growth Strategies to envision and pursue potential collaborative projects and partnerships.
  • In collaboration with the Director of Growth Strategies conceptualize and implement campaigns to generate new name acquisition and new donor and volunteer cultivation.
  • Track and analyze data pull and interpret reports and collaborate with the Growth Strategies Director to assess progress identify opportunities and ensure department goals are met.
  • Work with the Growth Strategies Coordinator to maintain the SHI social media accounts and to use social media to drive engagement.
  • Play a support role as needed to other efforts of the Growth Strategies team.
  • Write edit and develop messaging.

QUALIFICATIONS:

  • Minimum education of a bachelors degree preferred but personal attributes and experience count for more.
  • Excellent written and oral communication skills; ability to influence and engage a wide range of individuals.
  • Strong computer skills especially in aesthetic graphic design including Salesforce Microsoft Word Excel PowerPoint Publisher Outlook Canva and similar sorts of software familiarity with AI tools.
  • Strong organizational skills detail-oriented and ability to multitask.
  • Flexible and adaptable style; a leader who can positively impact both strategic and tactical fundraising
  • Self-motivated and capable of working independently and meeting deadlines.
  • On occasion a willingness and ability to put in long hours evenings and weekends as needed to accomplish the organizational mission.
  • A sensitivity and concern for women and children in crisis and for the eradication of sexual slavery (previous knowledge of human trafficking helpful but not required; subject matter training will be part of onboarding).

    WAGES AND BENEFITS: Pay range is between $26.45 and $29.81 per hour based upon education and experience with annual performance-based wage increases. SHIs full-time employee benefits include 401K employer match up to 3% of your salary health insurance benefits with $100/month employee contribution eight paid holidays and a generous PTO policy.
