The EMEIA Zero Waste Programme Manager is part of the Global Energy & Sustainability team and plays a critical role in executing strategies to fulfill our circular materials and zero waste objectives at our corporate offices and retail stores in EMEIA. The focus of the role is to develop and implement solutions across our real estate portfolio that contribute to Apple achieving its goals of zero waste to landfill increased use of renewable or recycled materials and reduced carbon emissions. As a geographic lead the role will collaborate extensively with internal and external stakeholders in region to drive results that impact our building design development and operations.
- Experience in supporting sustainability zero waste environmental management and/or environmental science based initiatives.
- Experience implementing cross-functional environmental programs with results meeting or exceeding targets
- Proficiency with complex waste-related data; ability to identify trends and use analytics to develop strategies and support business decisions
- Ability to influence without authority; strong interpersonal skills
- Full English language proficiency written and verbal
- Bachelors or Masters degree in environmental science policy sustainability or materials science
- Programme management experience in zero waste / sustainability field
- Demonstrated success with mobilizing teams across complex and ambiguous organisational settings (e.g. internal and external stakeholders geographic dispersion etc.)
- Familiarity with green building certifications including LEED BREAAM TRUE UL etc.
- Excellent communication presentation and interpersonal skills with the ability to effectively engage and influence stakeholders at all levels of the organisation
- Written or spoken language skills relevant to EMEIA region including Spanish French German etc.
