Job Summary
The Tennessee College of Applied Technology Knoxville is inviting applications for the full-time position of Associate Instructor of Diesel Powered Equipment Technology at our main campus in Knoxville. This role requires a commitment of 37.5 hours per week with a daily schedule of 7.5 hours from Monday to Friday typically from 7:30 AM to 3:30 PM.
Job Duties
Minimum Qualifications
High school diploma or equivalent required. A technical diploma in Diesel or Heavy Equipment Repair is highly preferred. Consideration will be given to a comparable combination of education and directly related experience.
Must possess a high degree of knowledge of all areas involved in the diesel field
Must have a minimum of 3 years of related work experience in the Diesel Field.
Current ASE Service Technician Certifications are required.
Preferred Qualifications
Post-secondary training of a diploma or associates degree in a related field.
ASE Master Technician in Medium/Heavy Duty Repair
Teaching experience
Knowledge Skills and Abilities
Must have a strong hands-on technical background in all aspects of diesel technology.
Must possess the organizational and communications skills necessary to be an effective teacher.
Must commit to remain current in the field of Diesel Technology.
Must have excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
Must possess computer skills and ability to utilize technology to enhance teaching.
SALARY: Commensurate with education and experience according to Tennessee Board of Regent guidelines within the range of $55983 - $67181.
