Medical Assistant - Pain Center - Lahey Outpatient Center Danvers
The Pain Management Center offers comprehensive services such as: Chronic disease management Medication Management Physical therapy and intervention options which include epidural injections facet joint blocks Botox for migraines radiofrequency nerve ablations Synvisc injections and trigger points.
Our multidisciplinary team consists of pain specialist who are board certified in Anesthesiology and Pain Medicine. Our physicians have a special interest in the diagnosis and treatment of pain disorders.
The Medical Assistant assists physician/clinicians with the delivery of patient care. The primary responsibility will be focused on performing technical therapeutic administrative tasks and procedures for which they have been educated. The Medical Assistant must demonstrate the ability and willingness to participate in a Patient Care Team as a multi-skilled caregiver responsible for quality of own work and remain flexible in response to change. Performs all medical assistant functions in a medical outpatient setting for adults patients. Responsible for telephone triage. Renders patient care within the scope of their training including administering immunizations obtains height weight and blood pressure on all procedures and physicals. Assists physicians with minor procedures and complete physicals. Prepares exam rooms and restock supplies. Calls in prescription refill orders and coordinates patients care with other providers and/or facilities.
1. High School equivalent
2. Medical Assistant certificate required upon hire
3. Multi-skilled Training: EKG phlebotomy
simple respiratory & rehabilitative functions.
Certification/License:
Basic Life Support (BLS) required
Pay Range:
$21.00 - $28.26The pay range listed for this position is the base hourly wage range the organization reasonably and in good faith expects to pay for this position at this time. Actual compensation is determined based on several factors that may include seniority education training relevant experience relevant certifications geographyof work location job responsibilities or other applicable factors permissible by law. Compensation may exceed the base hourly rate depending on shift differentials call pay premium pay overtime pay and other additional pay practices as applicable to the position and in accordance with the law.
