AHRC New York City is looking to hire a Director Administrative Services. The Director Administrative Services will assist the Associate VP Administrative Services in planning organizing directing and reviewing the activities and operations of the Administrative Services Department including Contract Management Procurement Insurance Automobile Fleet and Building Operations; provide direct oversight of applicable support staff; and coordinate assigned activities with other departments.
Salary: $110000 - $120000 per year plus a quality comprehensive Benefit package. See Benefit information below.
Schedule: Monday-Friday 9am-5pm.
ESSENTIAL RESPONSIBILITIES
- Develop plan and implement all departmental goals and objectives related to agency initiatives as well as recommend and administer policies and procedures internal to the department.
- Coordinate Procurement activities with program departments and outside vendors.
- Direct oversee and participate in the development of the departments work plan; assign work activities projects and programs; monitor workflow; review and evaluate work products methods and procedures.
- Assist in preparing the Administrative Services budgets and assist in budget implementation.
- Serve as a liaison between AHRC NYC and AHRC NYCs Insurance Brokers on all insurance issues.
- Oversee and approve annual renewal processes for all insurance policies.
- Serve as a liaison to the agency-wide Safety Committee in collaboration with the Associate VP Administrative Services organizing quarterly meetings gathering department reports preparing minutes and following up when necessary.
- Update job knowledge by participating in educational opportunities; reading professional publications; maintaining personal networks; and participating in professional organizations.
- Accomplish organizational goals by accepting ownership for accomplishing new and different requests and exploring opportunities to add value to job accomplishments.
Qualifications :
REQUIRED QUALIFICATIONS
- Bachelors Degree with 3-5 years experience in operations and/or project management required.
- Prior Insurance/Administration and/or supervisory experience highly preferred.
- Excellent analytical and organizational skills required.
- Superior ability in managing the processing of large volume of data in a timely and accurate manner expected.
- Excellent verbal and written communications skills required.
- Proficient in Microsoft packages including Outlook Excel and Word.
- Ability to use the internet to research information.
- Manage and prioritize multiple tasks in a fast-paced service-driven environment.
- Capacity to identify and assist in managing crisis situations independently.
