Your role and responsibilities

As a Project Lead in the Inclusion Team Public Health & Communities youll play a key role in delivering our mission: Working in partnership to build the foundations for Healthy People Healthy Places and Healthy Futures and safer stronger more resilient communities in Suffolk.

On a typical day you will:

  • Lead and drive forward project work across the Inclusion Team with a primary focus on supporting refugee and migrant schemes but may include managing projects across the wider responsibilities of the team.
  • Build and maintain strong working relationships with partner organisations.
  • Undertake research reviews and data analysis to support decision making.
  • Oversee small contracts and funding arrangements.
  • Deputise for your line manager at key meetings understanding the political environment.
  • Prepare quality reports based on sound evidence and robust research ensuring partner engagement.
  • Line manage staff and actively seek opportunities for joint working on projects.
  • Chair meetings with local partners.

You will need

  • A suitable professional qualification at degree level or equivalent experience in a relevant area.
  • Evidence of continuing professional development.
  • A passion for making a positive difference for Suffolk and a strong commitment to fairness equality diversity and inclusion.
  • Creativity innovation and openness to change.
  • Excellent analytical interpersonal and written communication skills.
  • Highly developed project management skills with experience managing successful projects from inception to completion.
  • The ability to build and maintain excellent working relationships across a range of partners and systems.
  • Confidence in influencing negotiating and leadership skills.
  • The ability to adapt to change manage uncertainty and solve problems in unpredictable environments.

The team

Youll join a passionate and collaborative Inclusion Team within the Public Health & Communities directorate. Our focus is on supporting the health and wellbeing of all people and all ages in Suffolk tackling inequalities and ensuring economic opportunities benefit everyone. We work closely with local communities councils health and care partners and the voluntary and private sectors to improve outcomes through collective strengths.
