Te Tūranga About the role

Were on the lookout for a Category Assistant to join our Merchandise team and help keep things running smoothly across our New World PAKnSAVE and Four Square banners. Youll play a key role in supporting the team with product pricing and promotional admin ensuring everything is accurate timely and aligned to our wider business goals.

This is a great opportunity to build your commercial and analytical skills in a fast-paced collaborative environment. Youll be exposed to a wide range of tasks and stakeholders - and its a fantastic stepping stone positioning you well for future development within the Merchandise team.

We have opportunities in the following categories:

- Baby & Health & Nutrition

- Liquor & Beverages (Wine)

As a Category Assistant youll be:

Managing product and promotional admin across your assigned category

Responding to store queries and supporting promotional execution

Assisting with pricing competitor analysis and post-promotion reviews

Supporting the development of annual plans and marketing activity

Collaborating with suppliers stores and internal teams to keep things moving

Youre organised detail-oriented and thrive in a busy environment. Youre confident working with data juggling priorities and building relationships across the business. Whether its solving problems or spotting opportunities you bring energy and initiative to everything you do.

Youll bring:

Strong communication and stakeholder engagement skills

Great attention to detail and a knack for solving problems

Intermediate Excel skills (including XLOOKUP)

Resilience and adaptability in a fast-moving environment

A process driven mindset

Experience in Grocery FMCG or Retail is a bonus
