Job Summary

The Quality Engineer is responsible for maintaining and improving the Quality Management System under the direction of the Quality Manager.

Responsibilities include but are not limited to:

Audit and improve effectiveness of existing Quality Management processes.
Drive cross-functional problem-solving efforts to root cause and develop corrective actions.
Create review and update controlled process documentation.
Define implement and evaluate process validation tools.
Drive cross-functional continuous improvement projects.
Compile and analyze Key Performance Indicator data to drive organizational change efforts.
Maintain monitoring and measuring equipment (MME) system.
Review capability to comply with customer requirements.

Competencies

Formal Problem-Solving and Continuous improvement methods (5-whys Lean Corrective Actions A-3 Kaizen etc.)
Process Definition and Documentation
Data Analysis
Basic Project Management
Critical Thinking
Bias for Action

Required Education and Experience

Bachelors degree in an engineering discipline or ASQ Certified Quality Engineer
1-3 years in a manufacturing environment
ITAR REQUIREMENTS- To conform to U.S. Government export regulations applicant must be a (i) U.S. citizen or national (ii) U.S. lawful permanent resident (iii) Refugee under 8 U.S.C. 1157 or (iv) Asylee under 8 U.S.C. 1158 or be eligible to obtain the required authorizations from the U.S. Department of State.

Preferred Education and Experience

Working knowledge of Six Sigma and Lean manufacturing
Working knowledge of Measurement Systems Analysis
Auditing of ISO9001:2015 or comparable quality system

Statistical analysis in a manufacturing environment
ANSI/ESD S20.20 controls
SQL or VBA
