Job Summary
Applies knowledge of a manufacturing process and standard production methods to effectively support CMM operations.
Job Responsibilities
Sets up fixtures on CMM machines.
Follows instructions to set part on CMM machines.
Performs detailed inspections to ensure compliance to engineering data and customer specifications.
Reads and interprets drawings batch cards and operation sheets.
Executes CMM programs.
Accurately enters electronic data and uses attention to detail to read and communicate data.
Evaluates and dispositions printed CMM reports.
Skilled in associated measuring equipment such as micrometers and calipers.
Follows procedures for proper start-up and shut-down of all measuring equipment.
Performs calibration of the CMM.
Performs CMM Preventative Maintenance according to SOPs.
Other responsibilities as required.
Job Qualifications
Required Qualifications
- High School diploma GED or equivalent work experience required.
- General knowledge of aerospace manufacturing and quality inspection desired.
- Familiarity with coordinate measuring machines inspection methods and measuring and test equipment highly preferred.
- Must be proficient in the use of personal computers and Microsoft software (Word Excel).
- Good interpersonal and communication skills problem solving abilities and attention to detail required.
- Must be a US Person (Citizen or Green Card Holder) or have the ability to obtain the necessary Government licensing to work with controlled technology and products
Physical Requirements
Minimal or no exposure to excessive noise dirt chemicals extreme temperatures or hazardous conditions.
Frequent use of computers.
Standing and walking at least 7hrs/day
Ability to carry and lift weight up to 25lbs
Bending squatting reaching pushing and pulling required (At least 2hrs/day)
Use of hands for fine dexterity light and strong grasping (At least 7hrs/day)
