This role is part of Alcons Engineering function a team focused on improving quality processes products packaging and materials across our business to help deliver brilliant outcomes. The Sr. Manager Optical Materials will be located in Lake Forest CA and is primarily responsible for leading team members in designing developing and testing optical systems and components. You will balance technical leadership with managerial duties ensuring teams have the support tools and processes to drive innovation and maintain product excellence.
In this role a typical day will include:
Oversee project execution resource planning and cross-functional collaboration to deliver high-performance optical solutions that meet business and regulatory requirements
Contribute to decision-making on technology selection process improvements and technical problem-solving
Mentor engineers and align team efforts with company objectives
Ensure adherence to GxP regulations by following Standard Operating Procedures (SOPs) maintaining accurate and complete documentation and completing required training
Commit to continuous improvement and compliance with regulatory requirements
Experience and technical knowledge in LHPG crystal growth technology required

What Youll Bring to Alcon:
Bachelors Degree or Equivalent years of directly related experience (or high school15 yrs; Assoc.11 yrs; M.S.4 yrs; PhD3 yrs)
The ability to fluently read write understand and communicate in English.
