This internship focuses on a vital conservation project at Round House Reserve directly addressing a critical gap in our understanding of the impacts of feral herbivores. The project has two main components:
Establishing a Baseline of Deer Numbers and Establishing a Grazing Exclosure data collected from this project will provide concrete scientifically backed evidence of the ecological impacts of grazing pressure. The results will directly inform future land management decisions and ensure effective data-driven conservation efforts.

Demonstrated field work experience.
Project design skills such as setting objectives and planning activities.
Botany identification skills including the ability to identify native and introduced species using keys or guides.
Excellent communication skills (both written and verbal) in presenting information in a targeted clear and audience-appropriate way.
Strong data handling skills including data entry analysis and interpretation.
A desire to learn develop new skills collaborate and be innovative.
A commitment and passion for nature conservation and the objectives and values of Bush Heritage.
Access to a reliable car with the capacity to travel to the Round House Reserve.
A completed undergraduate degree in Environmental Science or equivalent.
