HSES Associate

Location:

• Contribute to AL turbo division HSE programs including training industrial hygiene and safety compliance auditing.

• Create and maintain JHAs safe work permits and SOPs for the facility.

• Preparing monitoring and keeping current all safety policies and reviews existing policies and reporting and gaps thereof.

• Respond to safety concerns and alerts in a timely manner including accident investigations and reporting to management as required.

• Provide a management team with HSE metrics regularly to identify trends gaps and risks.

• Maintain up to date knowledge of all federal and state laws regulations and standards for employees health and safety as well as current environmental requirements. (Cal/OSHACal/EPA DTSC AQMD OSHA EPA CUPA OCSD & OCFA).

• Assist in the mitigation and elimination of identified health and safety hazards throughout the facility.

• Develop and present environmental sustainability initiatives for implementation within E&Cs Turbo division.

Are you a MATCH

• High school diploma or equivalent is required

• A Bachelors degree in industrial safety/hygiene occupational health environmental studies/science or related discipline or equivalent experience

• Minimum 2 years experience in the environmental health and safety (HSE) field.

• Experience writing technical business policies procedures and reports.

• Able to effectively work across functional lines.

• Proficient with Google and Microsoft Suites (Sheets/Excel Gmail/Outlook Slides/Powerpoint etc.)

• Must have high-level organizational and planning skills so that workflow is managed efficiently and accurately; must be able to set priorities take initiative and exercise sound independent judgment.

• Work independently without extensive direction or oversight.

• Requires excellent oral and written skills and an ability to effectively communicate ideas in a clear concise and professional manner.

• Ability to evaluate HSE programs and practices and make sound recommendations for improvement.

• Thorough knowledge of practices and methods for developing and administering a comprehensive HSE program including designing employee EHS training programs.

• Must be proficient in performing HSE assessments to identify workplace hazards and determining appropriate control measures.

• Ability to conduct accident and workplace safety audits and investigations required.
