Job Summary

Role description:

The Electrician is responsible for all electrical work and maintenance throughout the facility. This involves repairs inspections and new installations on all machinery.

Compensation and Schedule:

The starting pay rate for this role is $39.67 per hour. Any future increases are dictated by the Collective Bargaining Agreement.

Responsibilities:

  • Install repair calibrate and inspect electrical devices equipment and circuits in the plant

  • Receive and inspect wiring diagrams drawings and specifications to resolve electrical needs

  • Repair or replace faulty motors switches control panels circuit breakers control devices batching systems control instrumentation and other plant electrical and electronic equipment

  • Plan and perform work on energized circuits

  • Measure cut bend and install fittings switches controls fixtures and wires

  • Connect all types of electrical equipment for new installations

  • Plan and perform skilled soldering repairs installation and calibration of thermocouple and pyrometer-controlled systems

Minimum skills / qualifications:

  • High School Diploma or equivalent

  • Journeyman level Electrician experience

  • Experience in industrial control lighting and wiring

  • Must be able to stand for 8 hours

  • Must be able to lift twenty (20) pounds

Preferred skills / qualifications:

  • PLC knowledge
