Teaching Assistant (90 hours) for SWRK 327 - Approaches to Community Practice Sec 001 CRN 4850 Wednesdays 11:35-14:25 CURRIE 408/9 Winter 2026 Term.
Knowledge of the following required:
- Modelsofcommunitypracticeincludingcommunityapproachesfromhistorical ideologicalandpracticalperspectives.
- Applicationofcommunitypracticetraditionstodifferentformsofsocialwork.
- HistoryideologyandorganizingstrategiesaroundcommunitypracticeinQuébecandCanadaandthewaysinwhichpoliticalcontextshapescommunitypractice.
- Presenceofcommunitypracticeideologiesincontemporarycommunitypractice
- Analysisofcurrentcommunitysocialworkpracticeandsocialproblemsaswellasopportunitiesforsocialchange.
- Similaritiesanddifferencesbetweencommunityandclinicalpracticeandopportunities forpartnerships.
- Practicalskillsutilizedinavarietyofcommunitypracticesettings.
- Theintegrationofindividualandcollectiveempowermentskills.
- Thedevelopmentofcommunityinterventions.
