About the School
A leading co-educational independent day and boarding school in Reading is seeking an ambitious and enthusiastic Science Teacher to join their well-established Science Department from January 2026. The school educates around 950 pupils aged 1118 including a thriving Sixth Form of 250 students. About the Role
This is a full-time permanent opportunity for a passionate teacher to deliver Science across KS3KS5 with flexibility to specialise in either Biology Chemistry or Physics at A Level. The successful candidate will be joining a dynamic supportive team in a school where scientific inquiry and critical thinking are central to the curriculum. You will be encouraged to incorporate creativity experimentation and independent investigation into your lessons.
The Science Faculty is housed in a purpose-built building with fully equipped laboratories prep rooms and a digital data-logging suite. The department is supported by three dedicated lab technicians and access to resources for cross-disciplinary projects including robotics and environmental science.

Experience and Qualifications
QTS/PGCE and degree in a Science discipline
Experience teaching GCSE and A-Level desirable
Excellent organisational and practical teaching skills
