About the School
An excellent 1118 school in Reading is seeking a motivated and innovative Design & Technology Teacher to join their Technology Faculty from January 2026. The school educates 1400 students and has been rated Outstanding for teaching and learning. The DT Department is central to the schools STEM provision with a strong focus on sustainability product innovation and engineering design.
About the Role
This full-time permanent position offers the opportunity to teach DT across KS3KS5 specialising in Product Design or Resistant Materials. Lessons encourage creativity analytical thinking and practical skill development. You will guide students through GCSE and A-Level coursework mentoring them to produce imaginative and technically proficient projects.
The department features CAD/CAM suites 3D printers and fully equipped workshops supported by two technicians. Staff enjoy collaborative planning sessions and opportunities to lead enrichment clubs such as robotics and eco-design challenges.

Experience and Qualifications
QTS/PGCE and degree in DT Engineering or Product Design
Experience teaching GCSE and A-Level desirable
Strong technical and creative skills
