Job Description: Facilities Maintenance Technician
Location: 5850 W 80th St Indianapolis IN 46278
Salary: $38 - $42 per hour
Shift: 1st Shift
Major Responsibilities:
- Conduct regular inspections of facilities and grounds to ensure optimal functionality and appearance.
- Perform preventive maintenance on building systems including electrical plumbing and HVAC systems.
- Execute repairs and installations as needed particularly in electrical systems.
- Maintain and troubleshoot equipment related to laboratory and office environments.
- Ensure compliance with safety regulations and standards at all times.
- Respond to maintenance requests and address issues in a timely manner.
- Coordinate with third-party contractors for specialized repairs and maintenance services.
- Assist in the setup and maintenance of laboratory and office equipment.
- Maintain accurate maintenance records and documentation.
Qualifications:
- High school diploma or equivalent; vocational training in electrical work preferred.
- Strong electrical experience or journeyman electrical background is highly desirable.
- Proven experience in facilities maintenance or related field.
- Knowledge of safety regulations and building maintenance practices.
- Ability to work independently and manage time effectively.
- Strong problem-solving skills and attention to detail.
- Excellent communication skills.
