Job Summary
Job Summary (List Format) Acute Care Rehab RN Traveler
- Work Schedule: 3x12 hour shifts Nights (7:00pm 7:00am); every 3rd weekend; holidays as needed
- Float Requirement: Must be willing to float between all Cone Health campuses as needed
- Experience Required: Minimum 1 year Acute Care Rehab RN experience; no first-time travelers
- Certifications/Skills Required:
- BLS certification
- Proficiency with EPIC EMR
- Able to interpret laboratory results
- Medication reconciliation experience
- Patient Health Questionnaire history taking and allergy documentation
- Vital sign assessment (BP respirations temperature pulse)
- Wound dressing changes; set up aseptic/sterile procedure trays
- Capillary sampling specimen labeling throat and urine (UA clean catch) collection phlebotomy
- Telephone triage and handling pharmacy/patient refill requests
- Patient Population: Patients with CVA TBI ABI spinal cord injury neurological diagnoses generalized debility post-stroke post-aneurysm and post-op surgical rehab
- Department: Inpatient rehabilitation unit providing specialized care for patients with rehabilitation needs
- Patient Ratios: 1 nurse to 6 patients
- Compliance: Must meet compliance deadline (12 noon EST Wednesday prior to start date)
- Additional Requirements:
- Must pass EKG exam (required by all RNs at Cone Health)
- Zero tolerance for tardiness and unexcused absences
- Must be flexible with scheduling
