Job Summary
The Mobile Fleet Technician is responsible for performing maintenance diagnostics and repairs on a fleet of vehicles at various locations. This role ensures vehicles are safe reliable and compliant with company and regulatory standards.
Key Responsibilities
Perform preventive maintenance and routine inspections on fleet vehicles.
Diagnose and repair mechanical electrical and hydraulic systems on vehicles.
Perform tire changes brake repairs and other essential vehicle maintenance tasks.
Respond to service calls and provide mobile repairs at customer or company locations.
Maintain accurate records of service repairs and parts used.
Ensure compliance with safety standards company policies and DOT regulations.
Keep tools equipment and service vehicles clean and organized.
Communicate effectively with supervisors and team members regarding service updates and issues.
Qualifications
Proven experience as an automotive diesel or fleet technician.
Ability to troubleshoot and repair mechanical and electrical vehicle systems.
Knowledge of tools diagnostic equipment and safety procedures.
Ability to work independently in various locations.
Valid drivers license and clean driving record required; CDL preferred for certain fleets.
Strong problem-solving skills and attention to detail.
Physically capable of lifting heavy parts and working in varied weather conditions.
