Job Summary

This is a remote position.

As a Remote Data Entry Associate / Administrative Assistant for Hobie you will support the companys operational and administrative backbone by performing accurate data entry managing administrative tasks and collaborating remotely with cross-functional teams. Your role ensures that the data driving Hobies global manufacturing distribution and customer-facing systems is current and reliable. Hobies rich legacy in water-sports manufacturing and its acquisition by White River Marine Group via Bass Pro Shops underscores the brands commitment to quality innovation and global scale.



Key Responsibilities

  • Enter and maintain essential data in company systems including sales orders inventory records vendor purchase orders customer profiles shipping/receiving logs and returns.

  • Handle administrative tasks such as document scanning file organization record updates and assisting with remote internal communications to ensure smooth operations.

  • Review source documents (invoices order forms shipment receipts) for accuracy and completeness prior to entry; flag and follow up on any discrepancies.

  • Generate routine and ad-hoc reports (e.g. weekly data entry volume inventory discrepancies administrative backlog) and share with assigned managers or teams.

  • Collaborate remotely with internal teamssuch as sales logistics manufacturing and vendor relationsto gather required information clarify inputs and validate data.

  • Safeguard data integrity and confidentiality by following company policies on data security remote access backups and record retention.

  • Proactively identify opportunities to streamline administrative workflows and data-entry tasks (e.g. using macros templates improved naming conventions) to increase efficiency and accuracy.




Requirements

  • High School diploma or equivalent required; associate degree or relevant certificates (administrative support business data management) preferred.

  • Proven experience in data entry administrative support or remote office work. Experience in manufacturing distribution or outdoor-gear industry is a plus.

  • Strong accuracy and attention to detail especially when managing high volumes of data entries and administrative tasks.

  • Proficient in Microsoft Excel (or Google Sheets) and comfortable learning new tools databases or ERP systems.

  • Excellent communication and organizational skills; able to work independently in a remote setting while collaborating effectively with remote teams.

  • Reliable remote work environment with a stable internet connection a distraction-free workspace and comfort using virtual communication tools.

  • Familiarity or interest in the outdoor recreation / water-sports industry is advantageous and aligns with Hobies culture of innovation and adventure.

Required Skills:

High School diploma or equivalent required; Associate degree or certificate in business administration data management or related field preferred. Proven experience in data entry clerical or administrative rolespreferably in a manufacturing retail e-commerce or distribution environment. Strong typing skills (e.g. 50 wpm) with excellent accuracy and attention to detail. Proficiency in Microsoft Excel (or Google Sheets) comfortable working with large datasets; familiarity with ERP or inventory systems is a plus. Excellent organizational and time-management skills; ability to prioritize tasks work independently in a remote environment and meet deadlines. Excellent communication skills and ability to work collaboratively across remote teams. Reliable remote work setup with strong internet connection ability to maintain focus in a home-office environment. Interest in outdoor recreation water-sports or familiarity with the Hobie brand is a plus helpful to understand the product context.
