Position Summary
Responsibilities: Teach three undergraduate classes per semester (9 credits) related to exercise physiology and exercise testing/prescription. Use a variety of teaching strategies to teach a wide range of learners and address evolving classroom needs. Work with college students outside the classroom setting (e.g. mentoring advising supervising internships Honors thesis student-focused professional development networking or career advising). Participate in departmental and university service and governance function Perform other responsibilities and duties as assigned by the Chair of the Department Contribute positively to the departmental culture of collegiality
Preferred Qualifications Competencies And Experience
Demonstrated experience teaching course topics involving Sports Performance Training Clinical Exercise Prescription Exercise Testing and Prescription Theory and Application of Strength and Conditioning Corrective Exercise Training Sports Nutrition Data Analytics Integrated Human Performance or Research Methods. Practical experience in exercise leadership in performance general fitness or clinical settings Experience using varied teaching approaches to reach a wide range of learners Experience with student-focused work (e.g. student clubs mentoring advising supervising internships Honors thesis student-focused professional development networking or career advising) Experience in administration (e.g. curricular design and approval accreditation process internship coordination program review/self-study etc.)
