Job Summary

We are seeking a skilled and experienced Diesel Mechanic to join our team. The ideal candidate will be responsible for diagnosing repairing and maintaining diesel engines and related components in trucks heavy equipment and other diesel-powered machinery. The Diesel Mechanic will play a critical role in ensuring the reliability and performance of our fleet and equipment.Key Responsibilities:

Perform routine maintenance inspections and repairs on diesel engines hydraulic systems transmissions brakes and electrical systems.
Diagnose mechanical and electrical issues using diagnostic tools and software.
Conduct engine overhauls fuel system repairs and emissions testing.
Replace and repair faulty components including fuel injectors turbochargers and cooling systems.
Keep detailed records of maintenance and repair work performed.
Follow safety procedures and company policies to ensure a safe work environment.
Collaborate with team members and communicate effectively with supervisors regarding repair status and parts requirements.
Stay up to date with advancements in diesel engine technology and industry best practices.

Requirements

Qualifications and Requirements:

High school diploma or equivalent; technical certification or associate degree in diesel mechanics preferred.
Minimum of 3 years of experience as a Diesel Mechanic or in a related field.
Strong knowledge of diesel engine systems hydraulic systems and electrical components.
Proficiency with diagnostic tools and repair equipment.
Ability to read and interpret technical manuals and schematics.
Physical ability to lift heavy equipment stand for extended periods and work in various weather conditions.
Strong problem-solving skills and attention to detail.
Valid drivers license; CDL preferred.
