We are looking for a Senior Test Engineer to help translate scientific and clinical needs into robust scalable embedded software this role you will tackle complex challenges perform and lead verification activities and provide technical guidance in a dynamic collaborative environment.
As a key expert you will be responsible for:
Translating complex product and system requirements into clear test phases test cases and verification plans.
Developing performing and documenting software verification tests to ensure compliance reliability and functionality.
Analysing test results evaluating outcomes and preparing comprehensive test reports that summarize findings and recommendations.
Delivering maintaining and monitoring critical components of the software architecture ensuring flexible and extensible solutions through appropriate technology selection.
Evaluating existing applications and providing expert recommendations for refactoring programming languages and system enhancements.
Managing and coordinating external test partners ensuring alignment with project objectives and timelines.
Acting as a technical mentor and key contact for less experienced colleagues guiding them in solving complex problems.
Supporting root cause analysis and Corrective/Preventive Actions (CAPA).
Reporting progress results and risks to Project Development Leads.
Who You Are
Degree in Engineering Biomedical Engineering Software Engineering or a related technical field.
Proven experience in medical device testing preferably with IVD or diagnostic instruments.
Hands-on expertise in electromechanical systems testing and test automation tools.
Strong conceptual and practical knowledge of embedded software engineering and the ability to translate product designs into technical requirements.
Independent proactive problem-solver with strong analytical skills and attention to detail.
Demonstrated leadership ability mentoring skills and experience managing sub-projects or small technical teams.
On-site presence: This is a hybrid role requiring 60% (2-3 days per week) on-site presence at Maxim Park Motherwell central Scotland to leverage the collaborative environment.
