The ESH Associate is responsible for managing and maintaining aspects of the ESH department certification programs (ISO 45001& ISO 14001). This role is also responsible for supporting the development implementation and maintenance of Environmental and H&S Safety policies and procedures within the facility.
HOW YOU WILL MAKE AN IMPACT
- Oversee the ESH department certification compliance and/or accreditation programs.
- Track certification status and expiration dates; send reminder and follows-up as needed.
- Co-ordinate with third-party certification bodies and regulatory agencies
- Process certification applications renewals and verifications.
- Collaborate with managers and supervisors to track implement and ensure the timely closure of corrective actions as it relates to certifications and workplace safety. Prepares reports as needed.
- Coordinate Internal/External Audits and Inspections.
- Conduct Internal audits and Inspections.
- Assist in developing and updating policies procedures and guidelines.
- Prepare reports on certification status trends and compliance metrics.
- Maintain accurate records of health and safety performance including incident reports training logs and inspections.
- Work closely with multiple teams across the manufacturing facility
- Promote a positive safety culture through awareness campaigns toolbox talks and employee engagement.
- Facilitate trainings as needed.
- Provide Administrative support for the ESH Department (Health & Safety Environmental Fire & Security).
- Monitor changes in relevant laws regulations and standards.
- Other duties as assigned.
Qualifications :
WHAT YOU BRING TO THE ROLE
- At least 3 years experience in a relevant field(Compliance Health and Safety Environmental)
- Previous experience in manufacturing environment
- Familiarity with ISO OSHA or other relevant standards.
- Strong attention to detail and organizational skills.
- Excellent written and verbal communication abilities.
- Proficiency with database management and Microsoft Office Suite.
- Ability to manage multiple priorities and meet deadlines.
ADDITIONAL WAYS TO STAND OUT
- Associates degree (eg. Business Administration compliance Health and Safety Environmental).
- Bachelors degree (eg. Business Administration compliance Health and Safety Environmental).
- Experience in handling audits and working with certification bodies.
- Knowledge of Health & Safety and Environmental regulations.
- Comfortable working in a fast-paced hands-on manufacturing environment.
