We are seeking an experienced Principal Engineer to join our Urban Development team in Canberra. This is an opportunity to lead impactful projects and make your mark in a collaborative and high-performing environment.
Key responsibilities:
- Provide expert technical advice throughout all project stagesfrom feasibility and design through to construction integration and commissioning
- Develop budgets and prepare fee proposals
- Oversee the Urban Development design and drafting program
- Lead civil design including earthworks drainage car parks roads pavements and utilities
- Provide guidance and technical supervision to engineers and designers within your service line
- Manage technical reviews and internal QA processes
- Undertake project management bid support and leadership duties
- Set department goals and develop actionable implementation plans
- Enhance engineering application processes.
Qualifications :
- Bachelors degree in civil engineering.
- Chartered Engineer status with NER accreditation.
- 12 years experience in urban development land development greenfield or brownfield projects.
- Strong technical expertise in civil design with knowledge of relevant guidelines Australian Standards and Local Council Planning Schemes.
- Understanding of water infrastructure water environments and water resource management.
- Proficient in civil design software such as AutoCAD 12D Drains and Microsoft Project.
- Experienced in QA processes and design reviews.
