Job Summary
You are an ambassador for the exceptional service and cuisine that are hallmarks of our food & beverage experience. As a Server at AMA Bar & Grill your warm personal attention and knowledge of our outstanding offerings will make guests feel unique and valued in a relaxed outdoor and social atmosphere.
Hourly rate: $15.17
What you will be doing:
- Assist guests regarding menu items in an informative and helpful way
- Have full knowledge of beverage lists and promotions menu items and preparation methods
- Follow all safety and sanitation policies when handling food and beverage
Schedule: Due to the nature of the hospitality industry employees are required to work varying schedules including weekends and holidays to accommodate the business and demands of the hotel.
Qualifications :
Your experience and skills include:
- Minimum 2 years serving experience in high volume upscale full service restaurant
- Previous fine dining experience and wine knowledge is an asset
- Ability to focus attention on guest needs remaining calm and courteous at all times
- Strong interpersonal and problem solving abilities
- Ability to work well under pressure in a fast paced environment
- Ability to work cohesively and collaboratively as part of a team
Education
- High School diploma (or equivalent) and/or vocational training
Certifications and Licenses:
- TB Clearance required
- Maui County Liquor Card required
- Hawaii Food Safety Certification required
