Saily is a product forged within Nord Security that provides eSIM service for travelers and explorers. It helps to save on roaming removes the hassle of finding local SIM cards and protects traveler data from local internet service product is growing rapidly and with it its team - were hiring competent Engineers to help us navigate this growth and ensure were providing the best possible value to our customers.
Were looking for an Android Team Lead to join our Sailys mobile team!
Main Responsibilities
- Team management of Android EngineersContribution in the development effort for Saily for Android devices. This includes interacting with our existing backend REST APIs providing feedback based on mobile needs and working with our web backend and UX teams to build new features and enhance the quality of existing ones. You will also coordinate with our Product Owners and QA/Support team to ensure our Android app consistently retains a high standard of quality.
- Debug and resolve issues reported by users and internal testing teams.
- Be a part of a growing development team that consists of engineers with a Kotlin background and QAs.
- Identify and plan to reduce technical debt.
- App performance - improve testing culture prioritize security and make sure Sailys application runs smoothly (app startup animations etc)
- Stay up to date with cutting-edge tools approaches and methodologies to ensure excellent quality of the code. Its all about that code!
Core competencies:
- 5 years of professional experience in Android leadership/managerial experience.
- Ability to communicate technical complexities to non-tech/other platform people (POs designer BE Web etc).
- Managerial experience: took part in the performance review ability to provide constructive feedback actively helping your team to grow.
- To - do attitude: help to resolve blockers and break down complex tasks build collaborative relationships across teams and platforms use failure as a blameless opportunity for a team to learn.
