TheDepartment of Enterprise ServicesGolf Courses Divisionis hiring aGolf Course Marshal.This position is responsible for monitoring and controlling the pace of play by speeding up slow groups and assisting players as necessary.

What Youll Do
  • Patrol golf course property on foot or by motorized vehicle;
  • Enforce golf course rules and regulations golf etiquette safety practices and antilitter regulations;
  • Spot check players for cash register receipt for payment of green fees and golf cart rental fees;
  • Observe and instruct players to replace divots and repair ball marks; and
  • Perform other duties and responsibilities of the position.

Minimum Qualification Requirements

At time of application you must be a citizen national or permanent resident alien of the United States or a non-citizen eligible under federal law for unrestricted employment.

EDUCATION REQUIREMENT:
Substantially equivalent to graduation from high school. Responsible work experience that demonstrated the ability to perform the essential functions of the job may be substituted for education.

EXPERIENCE REQUIREMENT:
One year of work experience involving meeting and dealing with the public.

Applicable Skills:

  • Ability to deal tactfully and effectively with the public and other employees.
  • Ability to understand and follow oral instructions.
  • Ability to operate a light motorized vehicle.
