* Bachelor s degree in Computer Science or related engineering field preferred * 5-10 years of experience in Data Warehousing Data integration or Data Engineering projects * Experience in Azure Databricks * Practical experience of data modeling and impact of models on KPIs * Experience with interacting with other On Prem ERP/ETL systems e.g. Informatica PowerCenter IICS Cognos Netezza Performance servers (these are the ones Selective uses so it s not mandatory to have experience with these systems but the candidate should have similar exposure) * Experience working within Azure ecosystem * Experience in any of these analytical platforms - Power BI AzureML Databricks or Synapse * Experience using Python or Scala * Strong hands-on experience as a Data Engineer * Proficient in SQL * Expertise with Cloud Databricks * Solid understanding of analytics data visualization and building data products * Excellent communication skills and ability to work with business teams * Collaborative detail-oriented and passionate about building high-quality data solutions * Comfortable asking the right questions and diving deep into technical problems * Excited to work primarily in engineering while supporting stakeholders as needed * Ability to effectively work well with people in other departments and/or outside of the enterprise * Visa sponsorship is not available for this position Nice-to-Haves: * Experience in Azure DevOps and GitHub * P and C Insurance experience is HIGHLY * Experience with ML Ops enterprise reporting or large-scale data platforms * Strong prior ETL background preferred (Informatica Power Center Cognos ETC)
