Are you a numbers-driven professional with a passion for unlisted investments and strategic financial reporting
An esteemed asset management firm is on the lookout for a skilled and motivated Fund Accountant to join their high-performing Investment Finance team. This is a rare opportunity to play a pivotal role in the financial operations of one of the largest investment managers on the continent supporting a diverse portfolio of unlisted assets.
Key Responsibilities:
- Process and account for all transactions and adjustments related to unlisted investments
- Prepare accurate and timely financial statements
- Manage and account for all corporate actions
- Maintain and monitor valuation data within finance systems
- Prepare internal and external reporting packs for various stakeholders
- Respond to client queries within agreed Service Level Agreements
- Support internal and external audit and reporting requests
- Provide insights into accounting implications of new investment deals
Key Requirements:
- Degree in Accounting or related field
- SAICA Articles
- Honours Degree in Accounting or equivalent
- CA(SA) or CGMA designation
- Minimum 3 years relevant post-articles experience
- In-depth knowledge of IFRS and GRAP
- Experience in asset management or financial services is advantageous
