**Job Responsibilities:**
Your duties may include:
- Get examination rooms ready before patients arrive.
- Help patients check in get admitted leave or move to another area as needed.
- Check and record patients vital signs which include temperature breathing rate pulse weight blood pressure and oxygen level.
- Collect and write down patients current medical history medicine they take main health issues allergies and vital signs on the proper forms.
- Carry out some tests when the doctor orders them.
- Keep examination rooms stocked with supplies and maintain them regularly.
- Fill out lab and x-ray request forms based on clinic rules.
- Enter patients personal information into the computer when they check in; also enter their diagnosis and departure time when they leave.
**CMA - Audiology Clinic:**
Assist the audiologist by checking hearing aids fixing hearing aid problems conducting listening tests making ear mold impressions and screening hearing.
**Schedule:**
- Monday to Friday working hours are from 6:00 AM to 4:00 PM. You may work 8 9 or 10-hour shifts based on the departments needs. - No work on holidays or weekends!
**Minimum Qualifications:**-
**Degree:** Certificate -
**Education:** You need to finish a medical assistant training program that is recognized by certain accreditation bodies. This can include programs recognized by CAAHEP ABHES or a military training program from the U.S. Armed Forces or programs certified by other recognized organizations. -
**Experience:** You need at least six months of experience working as a Medical Assistant after you graduate.
- **Certification:** You must be a Certified Medical Assistant certified by the National Health Career Association (NHA) or another approved certification program. -
**Security:** You must be able to pass a government background check for security clearance. -
**Life Support Certification:
** You need to have a current Basic Life Support (BLS) certification from the American Heart Association (AHA) or American Red Cross (ARC).
