$36.00 to Start with room to grow in to Shop Management!

Detroit Aggregate is looking for a Lead Diesel Technician to lead our team of experienced heavy duty diesel mechanics in performing maintenance on our fleet of Class 8 trucks and construction equipment.

Responsibilities Include:

Lead team of mechanics which will include: Training/development of less experienced Mechanics aid in providing equal workloads to team members involvement of talent evaluation involvement in final inspections of any/all equipment repairs
Use of Computer Software Transman to enter all required information of equipment repairs into system
Training/mentoring less experienced mechanics
Repair diesel trucks trailers and heavy equipment in a timely and efficient manner
Inspect brake systems steering mechanisms wheel bearings and other important parts to ensure that they are in proper working condition
Perform routine maintenance such as changing oil checking batteries and lubricating equipment and machinery
Repairing and troubleshooting of major components such as engine transmission and differentials
Tire repair
Landing gear repair

Job Requirements:

5 year of progressive Diesel Mechanic with Shop leadership experience
Basic set of tools
Experience working on hydraulics concrete mixer trucks gravel train equipment and diesel trucks
Experience working on heavy equipment such as loaders and excavators
