Your mission
Were looking for a hands-on and experienced Hardware Engineer to join our robotics development team and play a key role in building the electronic systems that power our indoor inspection drones. This is a multidisciplinary role in a fast-paced mechatronics environment involving everything from high-speed digital design to power electronics and sensor integration. Youll be working closely with mechanical and electronics engineers to develop robust compact and high-performance drone platforms. Were looking for someone who can contribute immediately and grow with the team as the company evolves.
- Design and develop custom electronics and PCBs including high-speed digital interfaces (e.g. USB camera signals).
- Develop power electronics systems including battery management (BMS) power distribution and motor control circuits.
- Integrate and test diverse sensor payloads such as cameras IMUs and other perception modules.
- Collaborate with mechanical engineers to ensure tight integration of electronics into compact drone assemblies considering thermal EMI and mechanical constraints.
- Own schematic design PCB layout component selection and hardware bring-up.
- Lead and participate in design reviews ensuring performance manufacturability and robustness.
- Debug hardware at both board and system levels using standard lab tools (oscilloscopes logic analyzers etc.).
- Interface with suppliers and manufacturing partners for prototyping and production builds.
- Support hardware testing documentation and reliability validation of designs.
Your profile
- Masters degree in Electronics Engineering Mechatronics or a related field.
- 47 years of experience in electronics development ideally in robotics drones or embedded systems.
- Strong background in high-speed digital design and PCB layout using tools like Altium Designer or KiCad.
- Proven experience with power electronics: battery systems BMS motor drivers and power regulation.
- Familiarity with integrating and testing sensor payloads (e.g. cameras IMUs range sensors).
- Confident in hardware bring-up system debugging and cross-functional collaboration.
- Understanding of mechanical integration challenges in mechatronic systems.
- Well-organized with strong documentation and communication skills.
- Bonus: Exposure to embedded Linux ROS or firmware development environments.
- Bonus: Familiarity with design for manufacturing (DFM) and testing processes.
