Job Summary
This is a role that requires close collaboration with external vendors contract manufacturers and internal teams (design operation and so on) to deliver an active alignment solution for a new optical module from engineering to mass production the active alignment solution consists of equipment and a process recipe for deployment at the contract manufacturer site. Algorithm engineer is responsible the core algorithm that provides feedback for active alignment process based on optical response (eg image from camera or other optical sensor).
- Bachelor/Master/ PhD in Engineering Optics Physics or equivalent.
- Experience in developing algorithm/ solution on signal/ image processing (computer vision) for manufacturing of optical component/ module (>3 years)
- Experience on experimental setup (hardware software) for image processing
- Use of MATLAB for algorithm development and validation
- Experience on building up experimental setup for photonics / optical characterization
- Clear and effective communication (written in person and virtual) skill
- Licensed to operate laser (eg Singapore NEA N3 license)
- Experience/ expertise in either 1) optics attach (active alignment) process or 2) optical functionality test of optical devices (for example camera projector range finder flashlight proximity sensor and etc.)
- Expertise in 1) geometric optics 2) exposure/ understanding on compact optical module (such as camera proximity and depth sensors)
