JobOverview:
Linde Gases US a division of Lindeis currently seeking aMaintenance Technician. This position will be based out of the Linde Air Separationfacility located inWilmington CA and will also support the Long Beach CA and El Segundo CA Liquid CO2 production position reports tothe Southern California Production Superintendent.
Primary Responsibilities:
This position requires the ability to work independently and with a team to perform a wide variety of skilled mechanic duties: to install troubleshoot repair mechanical equipment and facilities following SMP/SOPs within an ISO/QA/PSM/RMP site.
Uses a wide variety of hand power and machine tools to troubleshoot and repair various mechanical equipment and systems. Includes disassembly/assembly of rotating equipment pumps gearboxes compressors etc. to repair/replace bearings gears seals structural components and the like.
Ability to read and understand blueprints. Performs preventive and predictive maintenance on equipment and mechanical systems.
Specific responsibilities include: Safely troubleshoot repair and maintain all rotating equipment and associated mechanical systems including compressors pumps fans blowers boiler systems valves and ability to perform equipment alignments.
Utilizing a Computerized Maintenance Management System (CMMS) plan and execute maintenance activities including procurement of parts supervision of maintenance tasks and completion of all follow up required documentation.
Complete some repairs of mechanical piping systems including threaded and welded pipe systems.
Complete and document maintenance activities associated with predictive and corrective maintenance activities. Excellent computer skills required. Welding experience a plus. On-Call ability required within 24/7 operation environment.

2-5 years of experience in the following fields:
Journeyman millwright/machinist
General maintenance of industrial equipment
Compressor maintenance
Industrial mechanical maintenance
On Call ability within 24/7 operation environment

Competency with Computers Microsoft applications and process control computer systems
Trouble shooting and diagnostics

The Maintenance Technician must be able to sit stand climb walk read talk see and hear to perform the essential functions of this job. Additional activities for this job are:
Drive a service (pickup) truck up to 2 or 3 hours per day and up to 8 hours on occasion.
Perform office work requiring computer work and other administration duties 1 or 2 hours per day.
Walking on flat or uneven surfaces and in areas of crushed stone on a daily basis.
Bending stooping and working from just above the ground to 6 foot elevation.
Use of stairs ladders and scaffolding for elevated work.
Lifting 5 to 15 LBs loads performed daily.
Lifting 15 to 45 LBs loads intermittently.
Lifting 45 to 75 LBs loads occasionally.
Use of air purifying full face respirator occasionally.
Upper body work activities including using wrenches hammers and similar hand tools.
Use of power tools such as drill and saws.
Use of fingers/fine manipulation (such as equipment calibration).
Use of chemical personal protective equipment (PPE).
Shift schedule requiring weekend and/or nighttime shifts. Working extended hours and/or holidays may be required.
Preferred Qualifications:
Welding or HVAC Experience is a plus
Experience operating a forklift and manlift
Associates degree or higher in technical field

Pay commensurate with experience. Open to salary range $62948 - $92323.
