Position Overview
CARIAN is seeking a Project Manager Energy Efficiency to support a major clean energy initiative for our client in Newark NJ. This role will help bring structure coordination and project discipline to a highly visible program focused on advancing customer-centric clean energy and efficiency outcomes.
The Project Manager will oversee activities such as advocacy support customer storytelling stakeholder engagement and schedule management. The position emphasizes communication and coordination rather than financial oversight and is ideal for a project leader who excels at managing diverse stakeholders and driving progress in a policy-driven environment.
Clean energy experience is a plus but not required.
Key Responsibilities
Support the clients program team in the planning design and delivery of energy efficiency and clean energy programs.
Coordinate cross-functional activities including documentation schedule tracking and stakeholder communications.
Lead internal and external meetings manage follow-ups and ensure timely completion of deliverables.
Monitor project milestones and assist with internal and external reporting.
Identify opportunities to improve workflow documentation and stakeholder engagement processes.
Communicate effectively with internal teams vendors and client partners to ensure alignment and accountability.
Qualifications
Bachelors degree required; advanced degree a plus.
7 years of experience managing projects or programs within utilities energy efficiency or related industries.
Strong communication organization and leadership skills; proven ability to manage multiple priorities.
Experience working in policy-oriented stakeholder-driven environments preferred.
PMP certification a plus.

Compensation
The base salary range for this role is $115000 $145000 annually based on a full-time equivalent schedule. This range represents a good-faith estimate at the time of posting; actual compensation will depend on experience qualifications and other factors permitted by addition to base salary the role includes eligibility for bonus incentives a comprehensive benefits package and a company 401(k) match.
