Summary:

The Cook Childrens Post-Doctoral Fellowship in the Psychology Department provides a full-time employment position designed to give Post-Doctoral Fellows practical experience in the operations of a pediatric hospital outpatient behavioral health clinic. This position is responsible for conducting comprehensive psychological and neuropsychological evaluations generating treatment recommendations and conducting evaluation feedback sessions. Fellows will be working with a broad range of patient populations ranging in ages from 0-18 years with a multitude of medical diagnoses and neurodevelopmental and/or neurocognitive disorders.

Qualifications:

  • Ph.D. or PsyD in Psychology from an APA-accredited clinical psychology training program

  • Training in child growth and development required

  • Prior experience in pediatric setting (preferred).

  • Must possess excellent interpersonal and communication skills with a desire to develop outstanding leadership skills

  • Demonstrate commitment to high standards of patient care and customer relations practice

  • Must have educational background and training to function in the capacity of a psychological extender of services under the supervision of a Licensed Psychologist as defined by the Texas State Board of Examiners of Psychologists

Licensure:

  • Texas Provisionally Licensed Psychologist desired but not required.
