As a Sourcing Manager you will work in a very close cooperation with different teams across geographical areas and functions within Valmet and our external and internal stakeholder network.
Key responsibilities:
Identify and evaluate potential suppliers within the region to ensure cost competitiveness and high-quality standards.
Create area specific mapping of supplier capabilities in category perspective.
Responsible for supplier capability and technology transfer projects from HCC to CCC countries.
Collaborate with Category Managers BA Procurement product owners local production units Supplier Quality and technology experts to understand sourcing needs and develop strategies that align with regional and business objectives.
Establish and maintain strong relationships with regional suppliers negotiating contracts and ensuring compliance with company standards and requirements.
Responsible for supplier capability development.
Conduct thorough market research and analysis to stay updated on regional industry trends emerging technologies and competitive pricing.
Assess and mitigate risks associated with sourcing decisions ensuring continuity of supply and minimizing disruptions.
Travel extensively within the region to meet with suppliers conduct site visits and attend industry conferences and trade shows.
Who is the professional we are looking for
To be successful in this position you need to have a strong background in manufacturing and technologies with 5-10 years of experience. Degree in Manufacturing Engineering Supply Chain Management or related is good background for this role.
You are result and business driven and have experience of different manufacturing methods raw materials and supplier negotiations. Machine manufacturing industry product knowledge and hands-on experience in international business environment including experience from driving down total costs without compromising quality. You have a good understanding of stakeholder management and understanding how to drive a change.
Your personal characteristics include strong communication and intercultural negotiation skills. You have co-operative attitude and genuine drive and desire to make success within Valmet. Fluent English both written and oral are essential.
The position requires travelling due to global partners and suppliers.
