Job Description

We are seeking an experienced Travel Registered Nurse (RN) specializing in Critical Care/ICU to join a high-acuity hospital environment in Syracuse NY. The ideal candidate will possess strong clinical expertise sound judgment and the ability to perform effectively in a fast-paced trauma or critical care setting.

Key Responsibilities

Provide comprehensive nursing care to critically ill patients in an ICU or trauma setting.
Perform detailed patient assessments monitor vital signs and manage complex life-support systems.
Collaborate with physicians and multidisciplinary teams to deliver safe and effective patient care.
Administer medications manage infusions and perform advanced clinical procedures per physician orders.
Maintain accurate and timely documentation in the EPIC EMR system.
Respond promptly to emergency situations and critical changes in patient conditions.
Adhere to all infection control safety and regulatory standards.
Support patients and families through education updates and compassionate communication.

Required Experience

Minimum 1.5 years of recent acute care experience (within the last 2 years) in a Level 1 or Level 2 trauma center or equivalent.
Minimum 2 years of Critical Care/ICU experience required.
Experience in a Level 1 or Level 2 trauma hospital highly preferred.
Proficiency with EPIC EMR required.
Strong clinical assessment critical thinking and decision-making skills.

Licensure & Certifications

Active Registered Nurse (RN) License State of New York.
Basic Life Support (BLS) American Heart Association required.
