Job Summary

Experience investigating epithelialmesenchymal transition (EMT) in cancer tissues particularly in the context of metabolic adaptations to altered autophagic activity is required. The candidate is expected to work closely with the PI laboratory staff and collaborators and to demonstrate strong communication and interpersonal skills.

The project aims to define how inflammation alters the hemostatic function of megakaryocytes and platelets. We will integrate transgenic cancer and inflammation-induced mouse models with studies of primary blood samples from healthy donors and patients with diverse inflammatory conditions

The successful candidate will work closely with laboratory staff graduate students and undergraduate trainees to plan and supervise several parallel lines of investigation focused on inflammation-induced alterations in platelet and megakaryocyte function. These studies will integrate transgenic cancer and inflammation-induced murine models with analyses of primary human blood samples.

The candidate will be expected to independently advance projects contribute to manuscript preparation and apply for postdoctoral fellowships. The ideal candidate will have experience with R programming multi-omics data analysis and working with murine models.
