Overview
Susquehanna Growth Equity (SGE) is an investor focused on private growth-stage software data and business services. SGE has invested in over 100 companies since 2006 and is currently managing $5 Billion in assets as it invests out of its seventh fund.
SGE is seeking a Controller who is looking to become part of a private equity firm and help define the mandate for our internal accounting and associated business operations for the Philadelphia-area based this role you will gain world-class experience partnering with investing and value creation professionals that are investing in companies transforming their industries.
This role is in-person at our Bala Cynwyd headquarters (no remote or hybrid options).

In this role you will:
- Serve as the Controller and steward of all fund and select portfolio company financial information monitoring and reporting
- Prepare financial reports including monthly quarterly and ad hoc dashboards and reports to monitor and analyze the performance of the fund
- Create and administer management company expenditures budgeting tools and policies
- Maintain investment ledgers that track investment details performance and fund returns
- Interface with senior investment professionals as well as vendors and various teams including IT accounting tax legal and portfolio value creation
What were looking for
- Three to seven years of relevant professional experience in an accounting firm or finance role.
- Bachelors degree (accounting finance math economics) from an undergraduate institution with a record of academic achievement.
- Driven and articulate with strong interpersonal skills. The candidate needs to be a team player and able to work successfully with various functions across the organization.
- Keen attention to detail with strong project management and organizational skills
- Desire to grow in a role and take on more responsibility over time.
- Strong working knowledge of financial reporting particularly in the fund/private equity space.
- Strong Excel PowerPoint AI skills.
