Job Summary

Tesoro Group is seeking an experienced Maintenance Technician to join one of our long-term clients team at (2) of their properties in New Hope MN (55428) and Minneapolis MN (55248). The ideal candidate will have 2 years experience in residential maintenance have experience with unit turns have knowledge of basic maintenance be self-motivated be able to organize multiple tasks throughout the day and is self-sufficientwill have experience with boilers (boilers license highly preferred). This role is contract to hire (90 days before conversion).

This role will be working with (2) affordable housing properties site 1: built inincome restricted units/3 stories and Site 2: built in 1967 87 income restricted units/3 stories.

Salary: $26-$30/hour DOQ - This role is contract to hire (90 days before conversion).

Schedule: Monday Friday 830am 5pm must be available for apartment turns. No on-call requirements during the contracted period.

Responsibilities and Job Duties:

Provide a variety of skilled building maintenance including repairs to sinks windows floors and other parts of the building.
Maintains the grounds as assigned which may include trash pick-up shoveling and sweeping curb/dumpster area maintaining landscape beds and other areas.
Preparation of vacant units for occupancy which may include cleaning responsibilities.
Install repair (including soldering) and maintain various plumbing; heating and air conditioning fixtures; perform metal fabrication and welding.
Installation and repair of major and minor appliances (e.g. washer dryer refrigerator stove microwave dishwashers etc.).
Troubleshoot maintenance issues diagnose problems replace and/or repair parts test and make necessary adjustments to ensure issues are resolved.
Provide emergency/unscheduled repairs as needed.
Complete minor work orders such as snake toilets/drains repair/replace leaking faucets remove/replace caulking replace different components of toilets adjust/replace door closures and replace locks deadbolts and passage locks.
Always demonstrate courteous and efficient customer service.

Qualifications and Experience:

2 years experience in residential maintenance.
Boilers experience is required certification is highly preferred.
Be able to pass a Kari Koskinen background check.
Experience with boilers (boilers license required).
Have a valid drivers license and valid auto insurance as this role will be roving between properties.
