NewsNation is looking for an associate producer to join the show team producing its weekend morning show. The associate producer is a key part of the team completing crucial preproduction and live show production tasks. The position is based at the networks offices in New York. There are early morning / overnight hours required.
Duties & Responsibilities:
-Pitch stories and segment ideas regularly
- Assist in preparing and executing live compelling television newscasts
- Produce segments with reporters in the field including scriptingand gathering elements
- Select strongest possible elements to help best tell stories
- Pre-interview guests fact-checking scripts
- Involvement in all daily show procedures assisting production team in all stages of production
- Work closely with producers editors and graphics team to edit video and prepare graphics
- Perform other duties as assigned by network leadership
Requirements & Skills:
Minimum 2years TV or streaming news experience including internships
Knowledge and experience editing video
Knowledge of ENPS preferred
Advanced knowledge of Microsoft Office (Outlook Word PowerPoint Excel MS Office)
Commitment to being a self-starter who proactively seeks out tasks and opportunities for growth
Bachelors degree or equivalent work experience
Characteristics

Must have the ability to handle multiple projects or assignments with attention to detail
