Position Summary
The facility is seeking a Board Certified/Board Eligible General Cardiologist to join a collaborative outpatient cardiology team.

This full-time permanent opportunity offers a collegial environment emphasizing patient-centered care preventive cardiology and multidisciplinary teamwork. The ideal candidate will provide comprehensive cardiovascular care while contributing to clinical excellence innovation and quality improvement initiatives.

Essential Position Responsibilities

  • Provide comprehensive consultation diagnosis and long-term management of patients with cardiovascular conditions in an outpatient setting.

  • Counsel patients on lifestyle modification risk factor reduction and preventive cardiology strategies.

  • Interpret non-invasive diagnostic studies including ECGs Holter/Event monitors echocardiograms and stress testing.

  • Coordinate appropriate diagnostic testing and follow-up care.

  • Collaborate with primary care physicians specialists and other team members to ensure integrated patient-centered care.

  • Provide clinical oversight mentorship and support to nurse practitioners and physician assistants within the cardiology department.

  • Facilitate care coordination referrals and smooth transitions of care across the continuum.

  • Educate patients and families regarding diagnoses treatment options and prognosis.

  • Document all encounters treatment plans and communications in the electronic health record (EHR).

  • Participate in quality improvement initiatives aligned with the organizations mission and performance goals.

  • Maintain board certification and engage in ongoing professional education to remain current with advancements in cardiology.

Qualifications

  • Education: MD or DO degree from an accredited institution.

  • Licensure & Certification: Board Certified/Board Eligible in Cardiology; eligible for state medical licensure.

  • Experience: Minimum of 2 years of clinical practice preferred; new graduates and fellows are welcome to apply.

  • Skills & Competencies:

    • Strong clinical diagnostic and communication skills.

    • Ability to work collaboratively in a team-based multidisciplinary environment.

    • Proficiency with electronic health records (EHR); Epic experience preferred.

    • Comfort overseeing and supporting advanced practice providers (PAs/ARNPs).

    • Commitment to value-based patient-focused care delivery.
