Job Characteristics: Designs and develops IT architecture (integrated process applications data and technology) solutions to business problems in alignment with the enterprise architecture direction and standards. Ensure that standard architecture decisions are implemented consistently across business and IT in order to support the business and IT strategy. This includes researching analyzing designing proposing and delivering IT architecture solutions that are appropriate for the business and IT strategies in one or more domains. Takes responsibility for technical planning architecture development and modification of specifications. Develops specifications for new products/services applications and service offerings. Assesses the compatibility and integration of products/services proposed as standards in order to ensure an integrated architecture across interdependent technologies. Solves complex problems; takes a new perspective using existing solutions. Requires in-depth knowledge and experience. Uses best practices and knowledge of internal or external business issues to improve products or services. Works independently; receives minimal guidance. Acts as a resource for colleagues with less experience; may direct the work of other staff members. Education/Work Experience: Degree in technical area and ten years work experience. Requires specialized depth and/or breadth of expertise.
Independence Level/Reports to: Acts independently under general direction. Errors may cause significant disruption to operations or major costs. Normally reports to Sr. Manager.
