Middletown Chevrolet is seeking an experienced Used Car Acquisition Manager to join our team. This key role focuses on sourcing high-quality pre-owned vehicles directly from our service drive and customer base. The ideal candidate has a strong background in vehicle appraisals excellent communication skills and a proven ability to acquire inventory efficiently and profitably.
Responsibilities:
- Proactively approach service drive customers to appraise their vehicles.
- Make outbound calls to current and previous customers with appraisal and purchase offers.
- Accurately assess vehicle condition and market value.
- Negotiate fair purchase prices to acquire inventory.
- Collaborate with the sales and inventory teams to meet monthly acquisition goals.
- Maintain accurate and organized records of all appraisals and acquisitions.
Qualifications:
- Minimum 2 years of automotive experience
- Strong mechanical aptitude and ability to accurately evaluate vehicle condition.
- Excellent communication and negotiation skills.
- Knowledge of current market values appraisal tools and inventory trends.
- Strong work ethic and customer-focused attitude.
- Valid drivers license and clean driving record required.
