As a Modem System Test Engineer you will play a critical hands-on role in ensuring the highest quality and performance of cutting-edge cellular modem technologies. You will be hands on work closely with platform architecture firmware/protocol development standardization system test carrier & field engineering teams to diagnose analyze and optimize modem performance. Your work will span all layers of the protocol stackfrom PHY to NAS AS IP and TCP/UDPgiving you exposure to the full modem lifecycle including baseband and protocol optimization. You will be responsible for defining developing and automating comprehensive test cases using industry-leading platforms while leveraging your expertise in Python AI/ML and advanced debugging tools to tackle sophisticated technical challenges.
- Bachelors or Masters degree in Computer Science Electrical Engineering Telecommunications with 3 years of solid experience in wireless system testing firmware & Protocol validation & pro user of industry standard platform including Keysight Anritsu and R&S.
- Deep understanding of 3GPP standards (LTE LTE-A 5G NR) across all protocol layers (PHY MAC RLC RRC PDCP NAS)
- Engage with Software developers in the Org to understand new features and enhancements that we bring into our products including features which may already be in the standard specifications (like 3GPP) or introduced on top of existing framework;
- Proficiency in diagnosing complex system-level issues through lab/field experimentation analytics and log analysis.
- Hands-on expertise in AI/ML concepts and their application to test optimization and large dataset analysis using tools such as Pandas TensorFlow and PyTorch for data processing and visualization.
- Self-motivated and pro-active with multi-tasking creative and critical thinking capabilities
- Build relationships drive work and influence outcomes in those areas
- You have excellent cross team collaboration & communication skills
