Job Summary
Looking for a self-motivated individual that throughout the day will almost continuously wash trucks and trailers. As a food distributor ensuring the sanitation of inside the trailers for the next load is critical for food safety and a clean exterior helps with promoting the company. You will work in a fast-paced yard with a short turnaround time for getting Trucks and Trailers ready to go back on the road and have the opportunity for overtime as well!
Work Hours: Mon-Fri 6am 5pm (general schedule)
Wage: $16/hr
Job Duties & Responsibilities
- Wash Bay Duties (Primary Focus)
- Washing out trailers
- Wash tractors and trailers
- Wash any parts needed for repairs
- Act as back-up shag driver when needed
- Fuel Driver Duties (Secondary Duties)
- Drive trucks and trailers to and from the Fuel Island in a safe and efficient manner to include both manual and automatic transmissions
- Fuel trucks and trailers
- Review trucks/trailers for repair needs and document such needs
- Thoroughly and accurately perform all required record keeping most of which is done electronically
- Park in correct location when completed
Physical & Environmental Aspects:
- The ability to frequently crawl in/out of trucks and trailers
- Exposure to extreme weather conditions at times
Knowledge Skills & Abilities:
- Able to work independently
- Reliable
- Some computer experience required
- Able to drive an automatic and manual transmission in heavy duty trucks
- CDL license preferred
Required Education:
- High school or equivalent
