Director of Facilities

Full-Time Opportunity Available!

Arc of Onondaga is seeking a Director of Facilities to oversee the Agencys facilities property maintenance safety and transportation services and a team of facilities support staff. The incumbent is directly responsible for ensuring the Agency is in compliance and regulation with Fire Safety and related OPWDD regulations while reviewing cost controls for maintenance repairs and construction for all properties.

Job Requirements:

Establish systems controls and protocols to ensure that all Arc of Onondaga properties are maintained for safe and efficient operations.

Maintain standards of operation and documentation for all properties required by Local State and Federal regulatory agencies.

Resourceful interpersonal negotiation and communications (written and oral) skills to handle complex issues and problems with diverse people both inside and outside of the organization.

Develop annual capital improvement and equipment budgets.

Manage and supervise units and provide direct training and supervision for staff responsible for maintenance and safety and transportation services.

Manage Facility and Transportation/Safety staff time and job responsibilities.

Review all Agency property and vehicle leases and communicate pertinent contract terms/changes to the CFO and Executive Director.

Establish and maintain quality standards for the Agencys maintenance and safety and transportation services

Must have some degree of flexibility to work at different hours of the day or alternate locations in order to ensure Agency wide coverage in all facilities.

Required to answer and respond to an Agency provided cell phone 24 hours/7 days a week to ensure accessibility for contact regarding any Agency emergency pertinent to duties.

Must maintain job-required certifications and licenses.

Preferred Education and Experience

Bachelors Degree.

Minimum of 3 years of related experience.

Supervisory experience preferred.

Reliable transportation and a valid NYS drivers license and a driving record acceptable to the agencys insurance carrier.
